John Saylor is the director of the Shingitai Jujitsu Association. He was a world-class judo competitor, and a 3-time national judo champion. As recognition of his outstanding teaching and competitive achievements, he was named as the United States Olympic Judo coach for seven years. Currently, John resides in Perrysville, Ohio, and is very active teaching and training students in his association. He still personally maintains an extremely rigorous daily training schedule.

At our school the emphasis in jujitsu, ground fighting, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and submission fighting is for self-defense. Our school trains under John Saylor, and the jujitsu ranks are through John Saylor and the Shingitai Association. Presently, we have three black belts in jujitsu under Saylor: Bill Courtney, Dan Rinchuse, and Derek Rinchuse.
